The ONTA Foundation, Inc.
The ONTA Foundation serves as a means of further promoting the goals and aspirations of the Organization of Nematologists of Tropical America. ONTA was founded by nematologists from the subtropics and tropics, primarily in the Americas, to share information on plant-parasitic nematodes and later expanded to include free-living and insect parasitic nematodes. Our Foundation was created in 1991 to provide support for its members to advance the Science of Nematology. The objectives of the Foundation include:
*Provide grants for the planning and development of special workshops, courses and programs on topics of interest to Nematological scientists and students throughout the world.
*Provide grants to students and scientists to help defray the costs of publishing Journal Series articles and other special publications of Nematological interest.
*Provide grants to students for study, for travel, and to participate in the ONTA annual meetings.
*Provide assistance to scientists to encourage creative thought and assist in the early development of innovations in Nematology and their applications

There is great potential for making significant contributions to ONTA through our Foundation. Our goal since the inception of our Foundation has been to raise sufficient funds to sponsor as many projects as we can for our members.
