The 2023 meeting will include a unique for ONTA symposium focused on parasitology programs to manage human and animal tropical and subtropical diseases such as bilharzia, elephantiasis and angiostrongyliasis (rat lungworm). The symposium will complement the keynote address given by Dr. Gregory Noland,Program Director for River Blindness, Lymphatic Filariasis, Schistosomiasis, and Malaria at the Carter Centerhttps://www.cartercenter.org/health/lf/staff.html.
A workshop will also address nematode management in strawberry.
The oral paper sessions will be organized according to the following topics:
• Integrated nematode management
• Nematode Ecology
• Nematology in the Nile basin and reclaimed lands
• Biological control of nematodes
• Entomopathogenic nematodes
• Plant–nematode interactions
• Taxonomy and systematics
• Education and training

(Nile Cruise Dinner with Entertainment) in the evening.
• Day 2: Monday, September 25: Symposium and contributed paper session in the morning and
afternoon. Wine and cheese poster session in the evening.
• Day 3: Tuesday, September 26: Symposium and contributed paper session in the morning and afternoon.
• Day 4: Wednesday27: Symposium and contributed paper session in the morning and afternoon.
Award Banquet in the evening.
• Day 5: Thursday, September 28: Field trip
• Day 6: Friday, September 29: Symposium and contributed paper session hosted by the ESAN.
